知识产权保护与我国的进口贸易增长:基于扩展贸易引力模型的经验分析

摘要
本文在扩展Anderson和van Wincoop(2003)双边贸易引力模型的基础上,基于1991~2005年间我国总体和细分行业的进口数据,通过运用工具变量和系统GMM方法来考察加强知识产权保护对进口贸易的影响。加强知识产权保护可以通过市场扩张和市场势力这两种相反的效应而影响一国的进口贸易,加强知识产权保护对进口贸易的净效应依赖于市场扩张效应和市场势力效应之间的权衡。估计结果显示,加强知识产权保护总体上显著增加了中国技术密集型行业的进口贸易。进一步地细分不同国别进口贸易的估计结果表明,加强知识产权保护对来自高收入国家技术密集型行业进口贸易影响的市场扩张效应更显著,而对来自低收入国家非技术密集型行业进口贸易影响的市场扩张效应相对更显著。本文的估计结果证实了加强知识产权保护对进口贸易影响的市场扩张效应在中国是显著存在的。
