摘要：

本文就儒家传统文化信念对社会保障的经济增长效应的影响及其作用机理进行了经验检验。研究表明,社会保障对长期经济增长具有显著的抑制作用,儒家传统文化信念有助于遏制社会保障对短期经济增长特别是长期经济增长的不利影响。进一步的分析还表明,儒家传统文化信念对社会保障的短期经济增长效应的影响主要通过物质资本积累机制发挥作用,体现在其更有助于削弱社会保障对短期物质资本积累的不利影响;对社会保障的长期经济增长效应的影响则更多地是通过人力资本积累机制发挥作用,体现在其有助于遏制社会保障对长期人力资本积累的负向影响。
