基础交通建设能否促进当地经济的发展?——以青藏铁路为例

摘要
文章从实证角度验证铁路建设与地区经济发展的因果关系。作者利用青藏铁路的建设所提供的自然实验,采用倍差法研究青藏铁路对沿线县市经济发展的影响。由于青藏铁路的建设并不是当地经济发展驱动,因此较好地避免了反向因果关系。结果表明,青藏铁路在建成后使沿线县市人均GDP水平的提高在20%以上,而且这种影响主要通过第二产业产生作用,对农业没有显著影响。另外,这种影响并不随县市初始经济发展水平不同而显著不同。
