Computational methods are discussed for the unequivocal differentiation between Coffea Arabica and Coffea Canephora (Robusta), independently of their degree of roast, on the basis of their gas chromatographic profiles. Probing of the correiations between gas chromatographic data and expert evaluation of the quality of various coffees is also described. © 1969, Oxford University Press. All rights reserved.
