<正>This paper is intended as an overview of the broadband netowrk technology and architecture. Interactive multimedia applications such as Video On Demand,interactive video games,high quality video conferencing etc.are all need the broadband networking's support.The paper starts with a snap shoot of the status of Internet then move on to focus on the broadband network architecture and technology.Different broadband network elements and approaches are introduced.Servers and contents,service complex of network, access & distribution network,and equipment for the customer premises are all briefed.
