Dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process is the technology to observe construction process of high arch dam with computer simulation, which provides a helpful tool for the design and management of high arch dam construction. In this paper, the research status of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process both here and abroad was analyzed, and both development and deficiency of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process were introduced. Theory of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process was described, and the stochastic dynamic mathematical logic model of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process was presented, which provided theory foundation to reveal the internal rules in the construction process of high arch dam. A way to fulfill the system of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process was given. Finally, aiming at the deficiency in the theory research of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process, this paper discussed the trends in dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process according to the recent research and development of computer simulation technology, and gave prospects of development of dynamic simulation for high arch dam construction process in object-oriented modeling, intelligent and self-adjusted simulation, virtual dynamic construction simulation, real-time control, system integration.
