(Second of Two Parts) Renal Transplantation In the current operation the donor kidney is placed in the iliac fossa, and the surgeon has the option of an end-to-end anastomosis of the renal artery with the hypogastric artery or, if this is not suitable, an end-to-side anastomosis with either the common or external iliac artery.
