摘要
1. 1. Polysomes were isolated from large quantities of Escherichia coli by a method which involved the lysis of protoplasts with low concentrations of detergent and which does not require deoxyribonuclease. Very rapidly sedimenting polysomes free of 70-S ribosomes and subunits were isolated as a pellet of ribonucleoprotein which sedimented through layers of sucrose. 2. 2. The procedure gives a simple route to relatively large yields of undegraded polysomal RNA. 3. 3. Some requirements for the release of bacterial ribonucleoprotein are discussed. © 1969.
