QUASI REAL-TIME DIGITAL VERSION OF SINGLE-EXPOSURE SPECKLE PHOTOGRAPHY FOR FULL-FIELD MONITORING OF VELOCITY OR FLOW-FIELDS

摘要
Some years ago, a method called single-exposure speckle photography was proposed as a full-field method of visualizing velocity and flow fields. It was based on the fact that the spatial contrast of a time-integrated speckle pattern depends on the velocity of the scatterers producing the speckle. This paper considers a digital realization of this technique, replacing the original two-stage optical processing with quasi real-time digital processing.
