摘要：

Latency optimization, scheduling of people, encryption of information, computing for data mining, and setting up lossy or lossless compression schemes for each of the n-dimensions of data will require services that make `Caller-ID' seem simple. The National Technology Grid effort and allied work around the world are addressing the design and implementation of these services as experiments. This is just the beginning in providing the ultimate in quality of service, `better than being there.'
