摘要
A static standing-balance, weight-bearing training device that incorporates biofeedback from a postural correction mirror has been developed. This device is designed for patients with neurological damage of the central nervous system due to a cerebrovascular accident or acquired secondary to trauma. It features a simple hardware configuration with low construction cost which makes its use practical both in the hospital setting and in a home care environment. The visual and auditory feedback of the weight bearing information gives the patient the means of self-postural compensation, with correspondingly less intervention by a therapist. The device also integrates balance training with real-time quantitative and graphical illuminating signals.
