摘要
The emergence of new information and and communication technologies (ICT) has revolutionized the way business is conducted as well as formed the delivery mechanism of governmental services. An increase in the use of mobile technologies such as mobile phones, laptops, and personal digital assistants (PDA) to connect the wireless networks has enabled the governments to transit from e-government to mobile government (m-government ). M-government is a value added e-government as it offers various advantages including improvement of delivery of government information and services. It overcomes Internet connectivity problems and digital divide issues, is cost-effective, and also helps to avoid the problems faced by various countries such as corruption, and low productivity of governmental agencies and also improves efficiency and effectiveness of government employees. It also opens up additional channels for citizen participation and thus increases constituent participation.
