摘要
Drawing on embedded intergroup relations theory and social identity theory, I propose a multilevel model of external team networking. In light of the growing diversity of the U.S. workplace, the propositions outlined in this paper examine the joint effects of organizational demography and team composition on specific sociometric properties of a team's external networks. The proposed model provides the basis for identifying team networking strategies in multiple organizational contexts.
