摘要
<正> 星形胶质细胞(astroglia)也名星形细胞(astrocyte),系在19世纪后期Golgi和cajal根据金属浸染法对胶质细胞进行分类而命名的。此后近百年,对星形细胞结构和功能的研究没有取得重大进展。十余年来,由于科学技术的进步,对星形细胞的形态特征和机能活动有了更深入的了解,它在神经系统的正常生理活动、脑的发育和神经病理过程中都具有重要作用。甚至可以说,如果不了解星形细胞,就不能全面地认识神经系统。
