高管媒体从业经历、媒体报道与IPO首日表现

摘要
本文以2009—2016年间沪深A股IPO为样本,检验了高管的媒体从业经历对公司IPO期间媒体报道的影响及其市场效应。实证发现:高管的媒体从业经历对媒体关注度和正面报道倾向有显著正向影响,有助于改善公司媒体信息环境;同时,具有媒体从业经历的高管曾在媒体机构所任职位越高,媒体报道对其公司也越有利。最后,高管的媒体从业经历对媒体报道的促进作用,有利于提升公司IPO首日的表现,即对IPO首日抑价和换手率有显著正向影响。本研究不仅进一步丰富了公司策略性媒体披露和高阶理论方面的研究,而且对公司的媒体(信息)披露及监管、投资者决策等具有重要现实意义。
