摘要：

Index of Information is a method of mea surement put forward by the Japanese scholars in the later 1970s,which is used t o analyze the social information level in a country or in a region.This paper ma kes a statistical analysis of the articles involved with the use of Index of Inf ormation in the Chinese journals over the past 10 years.Problems exposed by this method are pointed out.Suggestions as to how to perfect this method are made.
