质的研究还是新闻采访——同陈向明博士等商榷

In the qualitative research,Dr.Chen Xiangming offers two analysis types:“emic” and “etic”. “Emic” is particularly preferable.But through literature survey we find that the boundary of “emic” is neglected.In this article we investigate the application of “emic” in Chen’s two papers.According to those case studies,we find if the boundary of “emic” is exceeded,normally the result will be “unmanageable and unrealistic” (it will threaten both interpretive and theoretical validity).As a special case,when the research requires exceeding the boundary of “emic” such as in the intercultural study,it will be accepted.But it is forbidden that researcher’s question is directly given to interviewer.At last we summary a proposition.
