An experimental determination of the oscillator strength of the 2160 angstrom band of the free methyl radical and a spectroscopic measurement of the combination rate

摘要：

The f-value of the 2160 angstrom band of the free methyl radical was determined experimentally as (1.2 +/- 0.2) x 10(-2). The rate coefficient for combination was found to be (2.43 +/- 0.24) x 10(13)cm(3) mol(-1)sec(-1).
