Exact quantum-mechanical calculation of inelastic transition probabilities of a collinear collision of a particle with a morse oscillator

摘要
The exact transition probabilities for the Morse oscillator are found to be smaller than those of the harmonic oscillator by a factor varying frown 5 to 10. The proper first-order distorted-wave treatment predicts the effect qualitatively, but not quantitatively.
