A STANDARDIZATION FOR AMPLIFIED RECORDS OF THE GALVANIC SKIN REFLEX

With a standardized variable resistance greater than the resistance of the subject in the input, adjustment is made to bring the indicator near the center of the recording range. From this position a scale of plus and minus 1,000 ohm steps is recorded. The subject is then introduced in the circuit and sufficient resistance kept in series to maintain the indicator in the recording range. The subject''s resistance equals the original standard resistance minus the series standard resistance, plus or minus the value shown by the indicator on the scale.
